The Kent Volunteer Fire Department relies on financial support from taxes and fire insurance as well as, donations from citizens and businesses since it was founded in 1971. Without the generous donations from the community to help augment funding received from the tax base, it would be difficult to provide fire and EMS services to our community. Your donation may be made in honor or in memory of a loved one, friend, colleague, or special person. This is a great way to recognize a special person while guaranteeing fire and EMS services are available when needed.
If you have an old vehicle to get rid of, the Kent Volunteer Fire Department needs these for training. Each year our members train on how to safely extract people from vehicles following a crash. These trainings are essential for saving life and property.
Our clothing donation shed accepts the following items. Clothing (all types & seasons), shoes, sneakers, sandals, handbags, backpacks, duffle bags, belts, hats & jewelry. This program provides a means for your unwanted items to live on and get into the hands of people who are in need of clothing for employment etc. in both the US and around the world while at the same time, raising funds for the Kent Volunteer Fire Department. The clothes etc. will be worn again and will not be shredded. The donation bin is located on the far right side of our parking lot. Please only donate items (in criteria) that fit into the bin and respectfully do not leave any items laying outside the bin.
