Kent Fire responds to 3 major incidents within a week!!

In the past week, the Kent Volunteer Fire Department responded to three major incidents - two structure fires and a water rescue. Here's a glimpse into their unwavering commitment:

1️⃣ White Pond Water Rescue - January 20th, 2023, 2:28 PM

The Kent Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched along with the Mahopac Falls Vol. Fire Department Dive Team to White Pond for a report of a person who fell through the ice. While responding Putnam 911 advised that NYS DEC Police and Town Of Kent NY Police were on scene reporting the person was out of the water. Upon arrival of Kent FD units, members met with the subject and law enforcement and began interviewing and evaluating the subject. After being evaluated by EMS the subject refused medical transport. Kent Fire/EMS units cleared at 3:14PM.

2️⃣ Lake Carmel Commercial Structure Fire - January 20th, 2024, 5:00 PM

Later the same day, Kent Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to respond with two tankers mutual aid to Lake Carmel Fire Dept for a Commercial Structure Fire on Route 52. Both 16-4-1 and 16-4-2 responded to assist. When members arrived on scene they assisted with water shuttle and overhaul operation. Units cleared 2 hours later.

3️⃣ Mahopac Falls Residential Structure Fire - January 24th, 2024, 2:41 AM

The Kent Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched mutual aid with one tanker to Mahopac Falls for a residential structure fire on the west end of their district. Our department responded with 16-4-2 and upon arrival on scene began water operations to shuttle water from an off site location to the scene. 16-4-2 provided 6,000 gal. of water to help with fire extinguishment. Kent FD cleared the scene a 5:44AM.
