KENT VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

100% VOLUNTEER

Founded 1971 Celebrating 41 years of Neighbors Helping Neighbors

HOMEDONATE

Since it's founding, the Kent Volunteer Fire Department has participated in many parades throughout the lower Hudson Valley including Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester.  Our members work hard to make certain our apparatus remain in top operating and show room condition, regardless of age.  The department has participated in many parades and has been recognized 80 times.  To the community, a parade is a fun time to show your support to your local fire department, listen to bands and see the various fire apparatus and personnel.

To the Fire Department(s) participating, its not only a time to gather with colleagues from different departments, but also a contest.  Most parades in the lower Hudson Valley are governed by the Westchester Fire Parade Rules and judged by representatives from the Westchester County Parade Judges Association.  The Kent Volunteer Fire Department ALWAYS showcase our apparatus and march with the intention of winning, rain or shine!
